Overview
Winding its way through Lansing and bustling Grand Rapids before spilling out into Lake Michigan, Grand River is the longest river in the state of Michigan. Grand Rapids was built on the shores of the Grand and plans are in place to restore the rapids. Removal of dams and restoration of natural channel features will bring back the rapids and aquatic habitats, create safe recreational opportunities and enhance the beauty of the river. We’ve been paddling in Grand Rapids since 2017, come join Wilderness Inquiry’s Canoemobile for this unique urban waters experience!
