Overview

Known as “The Crossroads of the West,” Salt Lake City is Utah’s capital and largest city. The city is bounded by the Wasatch and Oquirrh mountain ranges to the south and east and the Great Salt Lake to the north and west. SLC is also known for its abundance of recreational opportunities, from world-class snow sports in the winter to hiking, rock climbing and boating in the summer.
