Overview
The Humber River in Southern Ontario, is one of two major rivers on either side of Toronto. The native Anishinaabe’s called the Humber River “Cobechenonk,” meaning “leave the canoes and go back.” Unlike the Don River to the east, the Humber has remained relatively free from industrialization as Toronto has grown and developed, giving way to wonderful parkland, bicycle trails, and watershed recreation.
Canoemobile will be visiting the Humber River for the first time this year, and couldn’t be more excited to dip our paddles in international waters!
