Overview
Often ranked as some of the best places to live, the cities of southeastern Minnesota are known for residents’ high quality of life. Biking, rock climbing, paddling, hiking, cross country skiing, and other recreational activities attract residents and visitors alike. The Mississippi, Minnesota, Cannon, and Zumbro rivers (along with dozens of lakes and tributaries) are a centerpiece of recreation as well as wildlife habitats–home to species like mallard ducks, mussels, river otters, loons, bald eagles, muskrats, and squirrels. These rivers are also ideal waterways for Canoemobile programming!
