Overview
San Francisco Bay is a shallow estuary of the Pacific Ocean. Forty percent of California’s water drains into this estuary, from the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers, as well as from the Sierra Nevada mountains. Throughout history, parts of the bay have been filled and developed, increasing the land size of the surrounding cities. Today, the Bay Area boasts gorgeous views and beautiful tourist attractions, and Wilderness Inquiry’s Canoemobile!
