Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Shenandoah River State Park!
Set up camp and get to know your trip mates during a short hike. Your trip starts in the evening at the Cottonwood Campsite in Shenandoah River State Park. (Note: Some groups may camp at nearby campsites.) Learn how to set up camp, review safety issues, and meet your trip mates. After dinner, enjoy s’mores around the warm campfire.
Day 2: Spend the day hiking along the Shenandoah River.
After breakfast, venture onto the scenic trails of Shenandoah River State Park. Take a moment to explore the park’s visitor center, where intriguing facts await discovery. Enjoy lunch along the river shore before continuing your exploration of the park’s natural history. As the evening descends, gather around the campfire for shared moments and conclude your day with enchanting stargazing sessions under the night sky.
Day 3: Enjoy a relaxing morning before breaking camp and saying farewell to your trip mates.
Spend the morning relaxing and enjoying your favorite camp activities. Your trip officially ends in the morning.
