Outdoor Leader Coordinator - External Relations
As the Outdoor Leader Coordinator for External Relations, Jake supports various communications, marketing, partnership building, and government relations activities of the External Relations team. He plays an important role in bridging our program experiences “on trail” with our external audience engagement via multimedia storytelling, trip leading, and related projects.
Prior to assuming this role, Jake spent several seasons as an Outdoor Leader for Wilderness Inquiry, working in many areas of our programs — from multiple national Canoemobile tours, to extended adventures in the Boundary Waters and Glacier National Park, to countless day programs in the Twin Cities metro area. He has also had several internships in journalism and content creation, and spent time in Senegal as a Peace Corps Volunteer. He is very excited to combine both his outdoor and communications professional backgrounds in support of Wilderness Inquiry’s mission!
