An integral part of the Wilderness Inquiry team, our dedicated Outdoor Leaders share a common goal of ensuring that everyone who adventures with us feels welcome, safe, and supported while in the outdoors. Leading programs and adventures to more than 20 destinations — from the Boundary Waters to New Zealand — Outdoor Leaders are at the heart of our work and mission.
Day Trips
Lead day adventures and programs within urban green spaces that include both paddling and land-based activities, all while sharing your knowledge with others, especially youth!
Extended Adventures
Guide overnight adventures to domestic and international destinations far and wide, while expertly blending soft skills of group facilitation and problem-solving with technical skills of navigation, first aid, and wilderness safety.
Apostle Islands Base Camp
Live onsite within our beautiful 40-acre Apostle Island Base Camp, while providing hands-on support and management of facilities, equipment, logistics, and kayak adventures.
Outdoor Leader Spotlight: Cory Maria Dack
Cory has been leading Wilderness Inquiry adventures since 2008 and spent the last few years guiding eco-tourism and adventure trips through Costa Rica, Belize & Tikal, Patagonia, and Ecuador. She also recently canoed the entire Mississippi River, source to sea, during the winter.
